Reenergizing Your Team - Phase 1: Meetings and Evaluation
< Back: Reenergizing Your Team Intro
I come in and conduct one-on-one interviews with every member of your top team. Not in order to "evaluate" them based on my expert schemes and prefabricated opinions, but instead:
- We find out where the "change energy" for each member really is; in other words what motivates them to change anything. We also establish how they contribute to the team at the moment, and what they need to change in the team in order to have an impact on performance. All this is about the reality in the team, not wishful thinking.
- We find safe yet high-impact ways to voice concerns as well as the positive impulses each participant brings to the table.
- This creates real buy-in for engaging in a process that would otherwise simply not be there. The added value is enormous: instead of paying lip service to management lingo, we have people around the table who want to find ways to change things that really mean something to them.
